Wednesday Nights This Spring
We never reach a point in our lives where we have learned all there is to know about God and life in Christ. As God’s people, we should continually strive to be lifelong learners. Therefore, Learning Curve is the theme of our Wednesday adult classes this spring. Beginning this Wednesday, March 23, and running through June 1, you can choose from the following class offerings.
Islam: The Quran and Christianity ~ Room 5 ~ Billy Martin
With the rise of Islam across the world in recent years, it is important that we gain a better understanding of this rapidly growing religious movement. In this class, participants will view videos that explain the history and central doctrines of Islam and engage in class discussions regarding the impact of this religion on our world today and how Christians should respond.
Boundaries: In Marriage, the Workplace, & the Church ~ Room 7 ~ David & Jill Anderson
Having clear boundaries – physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually – is essential to a healthy, balanced life. Through videos and weekly group discussions, this class will focus specifically on how to establish appropriate boundaries with spouses, co-workers, and our Christian family.
Sing and Be Happy (singing class) ~ Room 14 ~ Kirk Woolery
Participants in this class will sing some old favorites, as well as learn or re-visit some newer songs. Join this group to fine tune your singing skills and praise the Lord together!
Financial Peace University ~ Room 30 ~ Doug Dobbins
This life-changing course teaches practical skills needed to achieve financial goals and experience true financial peace. There is a $100 fee for materials, which can be paid out through the 9-week term. The class will begin with a preview session on March 23 where you can try it out before signing up for the rest of the course.
Esther: It’s Tough Being a Woman (ladies’ class) ~ Room 33 ~ Renee Anderson
Young women can sometimes feel inadequate, threatened, or pushed into situations that seem overpowering. This class is a continuation of a Beth Moore study of the Old Testament book of Esther that began the first of the year for “20 Something” ladies. Come learn how to trust God in the midst of our hurried, pressured lives.
