I've heard it said that we are made poor by the things we miss. I believe that to be a true statement – especially when it comes to things dealing with the church and God's kingdom.
Recently, Doris and I enjoyed and were encouraged by the Children's Musical and Candlelight Service at GCOC. It’s great to see so many young people willing to spend so much time and energy to praise God. That of course, is a product of good, solid Christian parents!
The Candlelight service seemed to have a special significance on Christmas Eve. What an appropriate time to share the story of Christ's birth. And of course, the decorations in the Worship Center were fabulous!
So a huge “thank you” to Randall and Misty Walters, John and Janna Duty, and the many others who had a part in these two events!
Let's all go into 2018 with a renewed effort to "find our niche" of service at GCOC and follow the words of Solomon found in Proverbs 3:5-6 – "Trust in the Lord and don't lean on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and he will direct your paths."
We are truly blessed.
In Christian love,
Kirk Woolery
