You’re invited to the Paluxy River Community Band Spring Concert this Sunday, April 29, at 3:00pm at the Brazos Covenant Ministries Church (1950 Acton Hwy, Granbury). Admission is free, but donations are accepted. Several church members are performing with the band.
Piecemakers Quilting Bee – Monday, April 30, 10:00am to 2:00pm in Room 8 at the church building. We work as a group making quilts for each baby born into the congregation and for each graduating senior at Foster’s Home in Stephenville. You’re invited to the “Hymns of Faith” Spring Concert presented by the Granbury Civic Chorus (which includes several GCOC members) on Monday, April 30, at 7:00pm at First United Methodist Church or on Monday, May 7, at 7:00pm at Acton United Methodist Church. Admission is free. Come and enjoy these classic, beloved hymns and anthems of the Christian faith.
Wednesday Night Diner – 5:00-6:15pm, in the Fellowship Center. This week’s menu includes Chick Fil A Sandwich, Chips, Salad Bar, Cookie and Drink for $5. Chicken nuggets are also available for $1. Proceeds go toward scholarships for youth group activities.
Cherokee Day 2018 – Saturday, May 5, at Cherokee Children’s Home. Welcome at 11:30am, and BBQ lunch at noon. Come early or stay late to tour the campus and see the new girls’ cottage.
Senior Banquet – Saturday, May 5, 6:00–8:00pm, in the Fellowship Center. Come enjoy this night as we honor the Class of 2018 – Stockton Berryman, Everly Carey, Max Holly, Cami Hughes, Bailey McCall, and Kylee Moore. Please RSVP at www.granburycocnet/ministry/youth if you plan to attend. Gifts for the seniors (with name attached) may be left in the Teen Center for pick-up.

First Sunday Welcome Lunch – The Climbers and Seekers classes invite guests and new members who have placed membership since May 2017 to be their guests for lunch in the Dining Hall of the Fellowship Center on Sunday, May 6, immediately following the 10:15 worship service.
First Aid/CPR Certification Training – Saturday, May 19, 9:00am – 2:00pm in the Fellowship Center. The training is free, and lunch will be provided. RSVP to the church office by Monday, May 14, if you plan to attend.
Church Match Scholarships – Several of the colleges and universities affiliated with Churches of Christ (such as Harding, Abilene Christian, Oklahoma Christian, etc.) offer matching scholarships in partnership with a student’s home congregation. Granbury Church of Christ has participated in this program in past years and is doing so again (scholarship recipients this year included Bronson Berryman and Bailey Carey at Harding and Jackson Hughes at Oklahoma Christian). Any GCOC students who will be attending a participating school this fall may apply by picking up an application at the church office, completing it, and returning it to the church office, along with proof of enrollment, by June 1.

Game and Potluck Day – Each Thursday beginning at noon in the Parlor. Bring a sack lunch and your favorite game and join us for a fun afternoon.
Connections Groups
Fifth Sunday Group will meet Sunday, April 29, at 6:00pm at the home of Yvonne Rosenquist. Everyone is invited to attend. Bring finger foods and come to meet, greet and fellowship! Mark Hackney will lead the devotional.
The Sawyer Group will meet one last time on Sunday, April 29, at 6:00pm at the Sawyer home for a potluck dinner. Everyone is invited to attend. The Sawyers wish to thank all those who have blessed their home with their presence over the last 14 years.
