Baby Shower 

For Mark and Ali Kaiser (our missionaries in Brazil) on Sunday, May 6, 2:00-3:30pm in the Parlor. Mark and Ali will join us via Skype. Please give gifts of money only (checks payable to Mark Kaiser).

 

Announcements    

First Sunday Welcome Lunch – The Climbers and Seekers classes invite guests and new members who have placed membership since May 2017 to be their guests for lunch in the Dining Hall of the Fellowship Center on Sunday, May 6, immediately following the 10:15 worship service.

 

You’re invited to the “Hymns of Faith” Spring Concert presented by the Granbury Civic Chorus (which includes several GCOC members) on Monday, May 7, at 7:00pm at Acton United Methodist Church. Admission is free. Come and enjoy these classic, beloved hymns and anthems of the Christian faith.

 

You’re invited! The ladies who volunteer at Foster’s Home each month are invited to a luncheon in their honor on Tuesday, May 8, at 11:30am at the Foster’s Home Gym.

 

Wednesday Night Diner – 5:00-6:15pm, in the Fellowship Center. This week’s menu includes C&J’s Brisket Sandwich, Chips, Salad Bar, Cookie and Drink for $5. Chicken nuggets are also available for $1. Proceeds go toward scholarships for youth group activities.

 

Carter BloodCare will be receiving donors in the Fellowship Center on Sunday, May 13, from 9:00am – noon.

 

First Aid/CPR Certification Training – Saturday, May 19, 9:00am – 2:00pm in the Fellowship Center. The training is free, and lunch will be provided. RSVP to the church office by Monday, May 14, if you plan to attend.

 

Help Needed! Foster’s Home is planning a work day on Friday, June 1, to clean up the grounds in preparation for their special dedication the next day. The work includes mowing, trimming, picking up debris, etc. If you can help, please contact John Webb at or 817-578-3810.

Game and Potluck Day – Each Thursday beginning at noon in the Parlor. Bring a sack lunch and your favorite game and join us for a fun afternoon.
