Growing in the Lord at Casa

Casa de la Esperanza – House of Hope – is a special place in Anahuac, Mexico where God is at work, healing and nurturing children who have been rescued from a life of abuse, neglect, and abandonment. GCOC financially supports this ministry and recently received the following message of thanks from Gil Sanchez, the Executive Director of Casa.

 

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for being “God’s fellow workers,” as spoken of in 1 Corinthians 3:9, laboring side by side with us in God’s service at Casa, through your prayers and faithful giving. Our ministry is blessed by your kindness.

 

We look forward to what God has in store as we anticipate the arrival of teams for this summer season, to renew old acquaintances and make new memories. We are excited for the camaraderie we will share as these teams join with us to tackle Casa’s summer projects, including painting at the church and on Casa grounds, organization of the new home depot, ground maintenance and planting, and completing the duplexes at the church site. Of course, the highlight is time spent with the children interacting in love and joy, knowing Jesus cares deeply about every one of these exchanges.

 

We are so thrilled to share with you the news of our recent growth in our Casa family of God! Four young women – Esmeralda, Liliana, Azucena, and Josefa – have been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ to the glory of God! What a privilege to witness God’s hand at work in their lives!

 

Again, thank you for being God’s fellow workers with us, all for the     purpose of bringing glory to God.

 

May we all continue to support and pray for this tremendous work of love.
