Wedding Shower

Wednesday Night Diner – 5:00-6:15pm, in the Fellowship Center. This week’s menu includes Tamales (pork or brisket), Chips, Salsa, Salad Bar, Cookie and Drink for $5. Kid-friendly menu is also available for $1. This will be the last Diner meal until the fall.

 

Carter BloodCare will be receiving donors in the Fellowship Center on Sunday, May 26, from 8:30am – 12:30pm.

 

Piecemakers Quilting Bee – Monday, May 27, 10:00am to 2:00pm in Room 8 at the church building. We work as a group making quilts for various needs. If you would like to join us, just come to the Bee, and we’ll put you to work! For more information, contact Betty Curbo (817-573-7535) or Jamie Skelton (817-279-3724).

 

Donations Needed! The Hood County Sheriff’s Office is hosting a Food Drive on Sunday, June 2, 9:00am – 2:00pm, at the Granbury Wal-Mart Supercenter. All food donations will be given to the Christian Service Center.

 

Sisterly Love – Ladies under age 50 are invited to join us for our first session of Sisterly Love on Thursday, June 6, from 6:00-8:30pm, at the home of Margaret Sawyer, 440 Woodcreek Ct. If you plan to attend, please RSVP to Sarah Bryant, Jami Hamrick, or Ginger McCall by Sunday, June 2.

 

Service Opportunity – GCOC and the Christian Service Center are sponsoring the Community Mobile Food Pantry on Friday, June 28, from 8:00-10:30am at First United Methodist Church on FM 51 N. Volunteers are needed to staff this effort. If you can help, sign up in Bible class or contact Jonna Eccles (817-573-0316 or ).

Children’s Ministry

Children’s Ministry Meeting – Sunday, May 19, at 9:00am in the Worship Center. This meeting is for parents, teachers and anyone interested in the Children’s Ministry. We will be looking at the last year with time for Q&A, discussing goals for the next year, and announcing a few summer dates. We will also get a sneak peek inside of our classrooms. If you have been curious about getting involved, or would simply like to know what our Children’s Ministry is about, then this meeting is for you!
