New Year’s resolutions are often pretty standard.  And I suspect in many cases, they get broken fairly soon into the New Year.  I am going to give everyone 9 days to get their New Year’s resolutions out of their system.  On January 10th, a guest speaker will kick off the first sermon series of 2016. It is entitled: “New Year!  New Life!” 

The focus will be on what God can do in our lives.  How can we embrace His life-changing power?  How can real spiritual transformation become a reality in our lives? New Year’s resolutions often factor God out of the equation. He is not the primary focus. In some cases, such resolutions are just downright narcissistic.

God changes the direction of lives.  His power is indescribable. He can do far more than we could ever ask or imagine!  (Ephesians 3:20-21).  Are we willing to trust Him?

I am really excited about this upcoming series.  It is a fitting way to start a new year. We have invited guest speakers to kick off each series of sermons I will be delivering during the course of 2016.  Careful thought and prayer have been the driving forces in planning each series.  I am looking forward to the journey.
