Hope for New Life in Brazil

Praise the Lord, O my soul,
    and forget not all his benefits—
who forgives all your sins
    and heals all your diseases,
who redeems your life from the pit
    and crowns you with love and compassion,
who satisfies your desires with good things
    so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

What happens when people “hit bottom” in life? Perhaps they have made a host of poor choices, and it has finally caught up with them. All pretenses of innocence are stripped away, and they are left exposed and vulnerable, filled with guilt, shame, and regret. Or maybe they are suffering from circumstances beyond their control, such as a serious health issue or a negative home environment. Whatever the reason, they feel trapped, with a future that appears bleak and hopeless.

 

Mark and Ali Kaiser, our mission partners in Itu, Brazil, serve people in their community who are experiencing these very life situations every day. Through their Changing Lives ministry and annual events like their free medical clinic (CURA) and camp for teens (Camp Roots) they help bring physical, emotional, and spiritual renewal. Most importantly, they give hope for a new life in Christ.
