Wedding Shower

For Shelley Mackey and Eric Daigle – Sunday, October 29, 2:00-3:30pm in the Parlor. They are registered at Walmart.

 

Announcements    

Magi Project – Thank you for collecting gift items and school supplies to pack in the gift boxes for children in Africa this Christmas. Please fill the boxes, place a rubber band around them, and return them to the gym by this Sunday, October 8. Bibles furnished by the church will be added to the boxes before shipping.

 

Sunday Welcome Lunch – The Neighbors and Faith-Builders classes invite guests and new members who have placed membership since October 2016 to be their guests for lunch in the Dining Hall of the Fellowship Center this Sunday, October 8, immediately following the 10:15 worship service.

 

Foster’s Home Workday – Tuesday, October 10 – Meet at the church building at 8:15am, travel to Foster’s Home and work for the houseparents cooking, etc. The group will eat out for lunch, then return around 2:30pm. If you plan to go and help this month, please call Glenda Fry at 817-573-3244.

 

Wednesday Night Diner – 5:00-6:15pm, in the Fellowship Center. This week’s menu includes Pizza, Salad Bar, Cookie and Drink for $5. Kid-friendly menu is also available for $1 per item. Proceeds go toward scholarships for youth group activities.

 

GCOC Ladies’ Day – Saturday, October 28, 10:00am – 2:00pm at Granbury Church of Christ. The speaker will be Emily Lemley of Lubbock, TX. No charge – Lunch included. Please RSVP to the church office by October 20 if you plan to attend.

 

Missing Item – An ecru tablecloth is missing from the church bridal storage room. If you borrowed it, please return it to the church office.

 

Free Service Provided – John Knox and Rachel Rouse are offering free counseling services as a part of their degree and licensing programs. If you know someone who could benefit from counseling, contact John at  or the church office (817-573-2613), or Rachel at 806-438-8919.

Game and Potluck Day – Each Thursday beginning at noon in the Parlor. Bring a sack lunch and your favorite game and join us for a fun afternoon.
