Wedding Shower

Honoring Bailey Gist, daughter of Dustin and Jackie Gist. In lieu of a local wedding shower, we will honor Bailey and her fiancé, Kaleb, with a “virtual” shower by collecting monetary gifts to help the couple start their new home together. You may participate by giving your donation to Sara Blevins or Janna Duty (who will be stationed in the front foyer). Please make checks payable to Bailey Gist (not to the church). The deadline to contribute is Sunday, July 21.

 

Honoring Lexi Hackney, daughter of Mark and Tami Hackney, on Sunday, August 18, 2:00-3:30pm at the home of Susan Blevins, 601 E. Woodcreek Ct. She is registered at Target and Bed, Bath and Beyond.

 

Announcements    

Ladies’ Newcomer Dinner – Tuesday, July 23, at 6:30pm at the Waterview Clubhouse, 100 Watermark Blvd. The dinner is for all ladies who have become members in the last year. Committee members will furnish the food. Come enjoy an evening of visiting and getting to know one another!

 

Wednesday Night Brown Bag – 5:00-6:15pm, in the Fellowship Center. Bring your own meal; the church will provide free drinks and ice cream. The Uplift service will follow at 6:30 in the Worship Center.

 

You’re invited to an Area-Wide Praise Night on Sunday, July 28, at the Burleson Church of Christ. It starts at 5:00pm with praise and worship in the auditorium (nursery and children’s classes through 5th grade available). Then at 6:00pm there will be a time of fellowship, with games for all ages (kids’ games, bounce houses, volleyball, basketball, card games, bunco, and dominoes) and food trucks available to purchase food for your family. Take advantage of this opportunity to worship and fellowship together with our Christian brothers and sisters in the area.

 

Piecemakers Quilting Bee – Monday, July 29, 10:00am to 2:00pm in Room 8 at the church building. We work as a group making quilts for various needs. If you would like to join us, just come to the Bee, and we’ll put you to work! For more information, contact Betty Curbo (817-573-7535) or Jamie Skelton (817-279-3724).

 

Sisterly Love – Ladies under age 50 are invited to join us for our last session of Sisterly Love on Thursday, August 1, from 6:00-8:30pm, at the home of Rhonda Shepherd, 2213 Wood Duck Ln. If you plan to attend, please RSVP to Sarah Bryant, Jami Hamrick, or Ginger McCall by Sunday, July 28.

Game Day – Each Thursday beginning at noon in the Parlor. Bring a sack lunch and your favorite game and join us for a fun afternoon.

 

Connections

Rosenquist Group will meet Sunday, July 28, at 6:00pm at the home of Yvonne Rosenquist. Everyone is invited to attend. Bring finger foods and come to meet, greet and fellowship! Dustin Gist will be the speaker.
