Office Closed – The church office will be closed on Friday, April 14, for the Easter holiday.

 

Larry’s Diner – Wednesday, April 19, 5:00–6:15pm, in the Fellowship Center. The White Plate Special includes King Ranch, Corn Casserole, Salad Bar, Dessert and Drink for $5. Kid-friendly menu is also available for $1 per item.

 

Ladies’ Newcomer Supper – Monday, April 24, 6:30pm, at the home of Kitty Wasemiller, 6408 Inverness Rd. in Pecan Plantation. For all ladies who have been members of GCOC for a year or less. Finger foods will be provided by the ladies on the committee. Please carpool as you can.

 

Piecemakers Quilting Bee (last Tuesday of the month) – April 25, from 4:00pm-8:00pm, at the Christian Service Center. Bring your own supper. Experience is not necessary. Time is spent working together piecing quilts to be donated. If you have questions, contact Betty Curbo, Becky Roberts or Jamie Skelton.

 

You’re invited to a free concert by the acappella gospel group Revival on Sunday, April 30, at 1:30pm at the Cross Timbers Church of Christ in Stephenville. For more information, contact Reece Cary at 903-818-7127.

 

Senior Banquet – Saturday, May 6, 6:00pm–8:00pm, in the Fellowship Center. Come enjoy this night as we honor the Class of 2017 (Bronson Berryman, Colton Bird, Blake Brown, Bailey Carey, Gavin Clarkson, Remington Davis, Bailey Hubble, and Matt Majer).

 

Save the Date! Attention Widows and Widowers: Saturday, May 20, will be the annual luncheon hosted by the Victory class in your honor. Check-in will be at 11:30am, with lunch served at noon, followed by a time of entertainment. More details to come.

 

Ladies’ Class Schedule Change – As we complete the Armor of God series, we will be watching the videos for the next three weeks to complete the series. There will be no discussion weeks between videos. May 3 will be our last class, and it will be a luncheon at the home of Janna Duty.

 

Summer Break! The Tuesday lunch served to the Hood County First Responders each week will be suspended for the summer, beginning in June, and will resume in the fall.

 

Free Service Provided – John Knox and Rachel Rouse are offering free counseling services as a part of their degree and licensing programs. If you know someone who could benefit from counseling, contact John at  or the church office (817-573-2613), or Rachel at 806-438-8919.

Game and Potluck Day – Each Thursday beginning at noon in the Parlor. Bring a sack lunch and your favorite game and join us for a fun afternoon.
