GCOC Missions - On the Move (Part 1)

How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news! Romans 10:15

 

“Build it and they will come.” This well-known statement made in reference to building a church facility reflects a “wait until they come to us” philosophy of sharing our faith with others. But Jesus had a completely different approach to sharing the good news of God’s kingdom. He went where the people were – to the synagogues, the temple, the homes, the marketplaces, the dusty roads and city streets of Galilee, Samaria, and Judea. And He commissioned His disciples to do the same: …go and make disciples of all nations… (Matthew 28:19).

 

Like Jesus, GCOC’s mission partners are On the Move in sharing His good news. Here are some of the places they have gone this year to tell others about Jesus.

 

Lou Seckler, Harvest Ministries, Abilene, Texas: Leading Bible studies in the local prison; conducting seminars in Mexico, Guatemala, and El Salvador

 

Gil & Becky Sanchez, Casa de la Esperanza, Anahuac, Mexico: Caring for abused, abandoned children of Mexico; serving those in need in the local community

 

Lalo & Jamie Rocha, Mexico City, Mexico: Leading Bible studies in the local downtown area; teaching English classes in a coffee shop west of the city

 

Javier & Fatima Adame, Chihuahua, Mexico: Leading home Bible studies in the local neighborhood; conducting mission trips to area communities

 

Funds are needed for these mission efforts to continue. Please consider what you will give on Harvest Sunday, November 11, toward our goal of $210,000 to enable our mission partners to be On the Move for Jesus.
