Grief Support Group – Beginning September 8, Granbury Church of Christ will offer an 11-week GriefShare support group on Sunday afternoons, 3:00-5:00pm in Room 8 (enter at the covered drive-through entrance on the west side of the building. Turn right at the hallway; Room 8 is the third door on the right.). The cost is $15 for materials, payable at the first session (scholarships are available). If you plan to attend, please register online at www.griefshare.org (instructions in the brochures available on the information tables).
Foster’s Home Workday – Tuesday, September 10 – Meet at the church building at 8:15am, travel to Foster’s Home and work for the houseparents cooking, etc. Bring a sack lunch. The van will return around 2:30pm. If you plan to go help this month, call Barbara Tennison (254-744-4919) or Ruthie Hudson (817-326-3189).
Ladies’ Bible Class will kick off with an organizational meeting on Wednesday, September 11, at 9:30am, in Room 5. Come and join us for great Bible study and fellowship!
Wednesday Night Diner – 5:00-6:15pm, in the Fellowship Center. This week’s menu includes Fuzzy’s Taco Bar, Salad Bar, Cookie and Drink for $5. Chicken nuggets are also available for $1.
Foster’s Home Children’s Day – Saturday, September 14. A barbecue lunch will be served at noon, followed by tours of their new homes and pavilion. Come and see how God is changing lives at Foster’s Home!
GCOC Ladies’ Day – Saturday, September 21, 10:00am – 2:00pm at the Granbury Church of Christ. Kay Turner, of Fort Worth, will speak on Defying the Odds in which she will share her journey of faith through a life-threatening illness, offering spiritual hope and encouragement to others. There is no charge; lunch will be provided. If you plan to attend, please RSVP to the church office (817-573-2613) by Wednesday, September 11. (Please note: Participants are asked not to wear perfume or cologne due to the severe allergies of some who will be attending.)

Everyone is invited! On your way to the Granbury Pirate home football games this season, stop by the GCOC parking lot from 4:00-6:30pm for a hamburger or hotdog at our tailgate party, hosted by the GCOC Youth Group.
