 Larry’s Diner – Wednesday, May 17, 5:00–6:15pm, in the Fellowship Center. The White Plate Special includes Pork Chop, Potato Casserole, Mixed Vegetables, Roll, Salad Bar, Dessert and Drink for $5. Kid-friendly menu is also available for $1 per item.

 

Spring Fling – Attention Widows and Widowers: Saturday, May 20, will be the annual luncheon hosted by the Victory class in your honor. Check-in will be at 11:30am, with lunch served at noon, followed by a time of entertainment. Please RSVP to Tina in the church office (817-573-2613) by May 15.

 

Donations to Casa – Gil Sanchez from Casa de la Esperanza, a children’s home we support in Mexico, will be in Granbury on Sunday, May 21. He is bringing a trailer to carry back our donations of consumable items such as #10 commercial-size cans of fruit or vegetables, shampoo, toothpaste, etc. Bring your donations to the church office during the week or to Sunday morning worship on May 21. Let’s fill the Casa trailer!

 

Piecemakers Quilting Bee (last Tuesday of the month) – May 30, from 4:00pm-8:00pm, at the Christian Service Center. Bring your own supper. Experience is not necessary. Time is spent working together piecing quilts to be donated. If you have questions, contact Betty Curbo, Becky Roberts or Jamie Skelton.

 

Summer Break! The Tuesday lunch served to the Hood County First Responders each week will be suspended for the summer, beginning in June, and will resume in the fall.

 

Disaster Relief – If you would like to help victims of the Canton area tornadoes, you can give directly to Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort online at www.disasterreliefeffort.org or give a check to the church office made payable to “Granbury Church of Christ” with “disaster relief” written on the memo line.

 

Free Service Provided – John Knox and Rachel Rouse are offering free counseling services as a part of their degree and licensing programs. If you know someone who could benefit from counseling, contact John at  or the church office (817-573-2613), or Rachel at 806-438-8919.

 

Motherly Love

Mothers of infants through 5th graders – Join us for our first session of Motherly Love on Thursday, June 8, from 6:00-8:30pm, at the home of Glena Rickey, 2706 Harborside Dr.  If you plan to attend, please RSVP to Gayla Castle by Sunday, June 4.

Game and Potluck Day – Each Thursday beginning at noon in the Parlor. Bring a sack lunch and your favorite game and join us for a fun afternoon.
