No Piecemakers Quilting Bee this month due to the Memorial Day holiday.

 

RFKC Staff – All staff applications for Royal Family Kids’ Camp, June 11-15, are due now. Two female full-time counselors and several relief counselors are desperately needed, so if you can help, please contact Mark Hackney or Kylee Peterson ASAP.

 

Wednesday Night Brown Bag –The Wednesday Night Diner will be closed during the summer, so beginning this Wednesday, everyone is invited to “bring your own brown bag” meal to eat together from 5:00-6:15pm, in the Fellowship Center. The church will provide free drinks and ice cream. Come enjoy some great food and fellowship with our church family, followed by the Uplift service at 6:30 in the Worship Center.

 

Help Needed! Foster’s Home is planning a work day on Friday, June 1, to clean up the grounds in preparation for their special dedication the next day. The work includes mowing, trimming, picking up debris, etc. If you can help, please contact John Webb at or 817-578-3810.

 

You’re invited to the dedication of the addition to the Mabee Health Education and Services Center at Foster’s Home at 2:00pm on Saturday, June 2. Included in the dedication will be the Gene & Charmaine Boone Administrative Suite. Come and celebrate the completion of the first major project of their Vision 2020 capital campaign.

 

Promotion Sunday – All children (except those entering kindergarten this fall) will promote to the next age level in Bible classes on Sunday, June 3.

 

Donations Needed! The Hood County Sheriff’s Office is hosting an Action Against Hunger Food Drive on Sunday, June 3, 9:00am – 2:00pm, at the Granbury Wal-Mart Supercenter. All food donations will be given to the Christian Service Center.

 

Ladies’ Newcomer Dinner – Tuesday, June 5, at 6:30pm at the home of Nelda Coonrod, 6117 Laredo Ct. in DeCordova. The dinner is for all ladies who have become members in the last year. Chicken casseroles will be provided, and the committee members are asked to furnish sides and desserts. Please ask someone to ride with you, and come for an evening of fun, food, and fellowship! 

 

Mothers of infants through 5th graders – Join us for our first session of Motherly Love on Thursday, June 7, from 6:00-8:30pm, at the home of Kathi Kraatz, 4614 Marina Ct. If you plan to attend, please RSVP to Gayla Castle (817-578-4140) by Sunday, June 3.

 

Dudes Night on the Lake – Men are invited to the Dutys’ lake house for a night of water fun on Friday, June 29, from 5:00 – 10:00pm. By land, it’s 912 Waterpoint Court E in Waterview. By water, it’s 2 houses west of the Mesquite Pit. Dinner will be served at 7:00pm. Call Tina at 817-573-2613 to let us know you’re coming, and we’ll give you the secret gate code. B.Y.O.Boat , if you have one. Come wake the lake!
