Baby Shower

For Hudsen Moore, son of Paul & Janae Moore, on Sunday, April 9, from 2:00–3:30pm at the home of Heather Blevins, 1302 M & M Ranch Ct. Diapers, wipes, and other consumables are welcome.

 

Announcements   

Foster’s Home Workday – April 11 – Meet at the church building at 8:15am, travel to Foster’s Home and work for the houseparents cooking, etc. Bring a sack lunch. The van will return around 2:30pm. If you plan to go and help this month, please call Glenda Fry at 817-573-3244.

 

Larry’s Diner – Wednesday, April 12, 5:00–6:15pm, in the Fellowship Center. The White Plate Special includes Ham, Scalloped Potatoes, Roll, Salad Bar, Dessert and Drink for $5. Kid-friendly menu is also available for $1 per item.

 

Office Closed – The church office will be closed on Friday, April 14, for the Easter holiday.

 

Ladies’ Newcomer Supper – Monday, April 24, 6:30pm, at the home of Kitty Wasemiller, 6408 Inverness Rd. in Pecan Plantation. For all ladies who have been members of GCOC for a year or less. Finger foods will be provided by the ladies on the committee. Please carpool as you can.

 

You’re invited to a free concert by the acappella gospel group Revival on Sunday, April 30, at 1:30pm at the Cross Timbers Church of Christ in Stephenville. For more information, contact Reece Cary at 903-818-7127.

 

Senior Banquet – Saturday, May 6, 6:00pm–8:00pm, in the Fellowship Center. Come enjoy this night as we honor the Class of 2017 (Bronson Berryman, Blake Brown, Bailey Carey, Gavin Clarkson, Bailey Hubble, and Matt Majer). If you plan to attend, please RSVP at www.granburycoc.net by April 9.

 

Save the Date! Attention Widows and Widowers: Saturday, May 20, will be the annual luncheon hosted by the Victory class in your honor. Check-in will be at 11:30am, with lunch served at noon, followed by a time of entertainment. More details to come.

 

Summer Break! The Tuesday lunch served to the Hood County First Responders each week will be suspended for the summer, beginning in June, and will resume in the fall.

 

Free Service Provided – John Knox and Rachel Rouse are offering free counseling services as a part of their degree and licensing programs. If you know someone who could benefit from counseling, contact John at  or the church office (817-573-2613), or Rachel at 806-438-8919.

Game and Potluck Day – Each Thursday beginning at noon in the Parlor. Bring a sack lunch and your favorite game and join us for a fun afternoon.
