Announcements    

Wednesday Night Brown Bag – 5:00-6:15pm, in the Fellowship Center. Bring your own meal; the church will provide free drinks and ice cream. The Uplift service will follow at 6:30 in the Worship Center.

 

Piecemakers Quilting Bee – Monday, July 30, 10:00am to 2:00pm in Room 8 at the church building. We work as a group making quilts for each baby born into the congregation and for each graduating senior at Foster’s Home in Stephenville. If you would like to join us, just come to the Bee, and we’ll put you to work! For more information, contact Betty Curbo (817-573-7535) or Jamie Skelton (817-279-3724).

 

Mothers of infants through 5th graders – Join us for our last session of Motherly Love on Thursday, August 2, from 6:00-8:30pm, at the home of Sara Blevins, 4820 N. Woodcreek Dr. If you plan to attend, please RSVP to Gayla Castle (817-578-4140) by Sunday, July 29.

 

Save the Date! Keith Lancaster of Acappella Ministries is coming back to GCOC to lead another Praise & Harmony Workshop on October 20-21. Mark your calendar to participate in this uplifting time of fellowship and worship to God!

Game and Potluck Day – Each Thursday beginning at noon in the Parlor. Bring a sack lunch and your favorite game and join us for a fun afternoon.

 

Connections Group

Fifth Sunday Group will meet Sunday, July 29, at 6:00pm at the home of Yvonne Rosenquist.  Everyone is invited to attend. Bring finger foods and come to meet, greet and fellowship!

 

Youth Ministry

Lock-in – July 29-30, after the Sunday devo until 6:00am, at the church building. Bring $5 for pizza, if you can. Please RSVP to Scotty Weaver if you plan to attend. 

 

Wedding Shower / Pounding

For Scotty and Melinda (Brown) Weaver on Sunday, August 19, 2:00-4:00pm in the Parlor, hosted by the Youth Deacons’ wives. They are registered at Bed, Bath and Beyond and J. C. Penney. Let’s help them stock their pantry and establish their home as they begin their ministry here!
