Piecemakers Quilting Bee (last Tuesday of the month) – June 27, from 4:00pm-8:00pm, at the Christian Service Center. Bring your own supper. Experience is not necessary. Time is spent working together piecing quilts to be donated. If you have questions, contact Betty Curbo, Becky Roberts or Jamie Skelton.

 

The Christian Service Center will be closed July 3-7 and will reopen July 10.

 

Service Opportunity – GCOC and the Christian Service Center are sponsoring the Community Mobile Food Pantry on Friday, July 7, from 8:00am – 10:30am at First United Methodist Church on FM 51 N. Volunteers are needed to staff this effort. If you can help, sign-up sheets are available in the adult Bible classes or contact James Parker () or Jonna Eccles ().

 

Service Opportunity – The Glen Rose Regional Texas Mission of Mercy is hosting a free dental clinic at Glen Rose High School on July 21-22. Volunteers are needed to help with various tasks at the clinic. Go to tdasf.org for more information or to tmomvolunteer.org to volunteer.

 

Free Service Provided – John Knox and Rachel Rouse are offering free counseling services as a part of their degree and licensing programs. If you know someone who could benefit from counseling, contact John at  or the church office (817-573-2613), or Rachel at 806-438-8919.

 

Connections Groups

The Sawyer Group will meet Sunday, June 25, at 6:00pm at the home of John and Terry Webb, 1509 Lady Amber Ln., for a potluck dinner. Everyone is invited to attend.

 

Men4God

Men, mark your calendars on Friday, July 7, for a Men4God Wet-n-Wild, No 7s Lake Party at the Dutys’ home, 912 Waterpoint Court East, starting at 5:00pm, with dinner at 6:30pm. Come dressed to get wet, if you want, or just play 42. $5 gets you in. Sign up in Bible class.

 

Motherly Love

Mothers of infants through 5th graders – Join us for our second session of Motherly Love on Thursday, July 13, from 6:00-8:30pm, at the home of Bobbye Petty, 4618 Stoney Creek Ct.  If you plan to attend, please RSVP to Gayla Castle by Sunday, July 9.

Game and Potluck Day – Each Thursday beginning at noon in the Parlor. Bring a sack lunch and your favorite game and join us for a fun afternoon.
