Wedding Shower

Honoring Macy Holly and Visente Sandoval – Sunday, June 2, 1:00-3:00pm in the Church Parlor. They are registered at Target and Bed, Bath and Beyond.

Carter BloodCare will be receiving donors in the Fellowship Center on Sunday, May 26, from 8:30am – 12:30pm.

 

Piecemakers Quilting Bee – Monday, May 27, 10:00am to 2:00pm in Room 8 at the church building. We work as a group making quilts for various needs. If you would like to join us, just come to the Bee, and we’ll put you to work! For more information, contact Betty Curbo (817-573-7535) or Jamie Skelton (817-279-3724).

 

Wednesday Night Brown Bag – 5:00-6:15pm, in the Fellowship Center. Bring your own meal; the church will provide free drinks and ice cream. Classes will follow at 6:30pm.

 

Promotion Sunday – PreK through 6th grade children will promote to the next age level in Bible classes on Sunday, June 2.

 

Donations Needed! The Hood County Sheriff’s Office is hosting a Food Drive on Sunday, June 2, 9:00am – 2:00pm, at the Granbury Wal-Mart Supercenter. All food donations will be given to the Christian Service Center.

 

Sisterly Love – Ladies under age 50 are invited to join us for our first session of Sisterly Love on Thursday, June 6, from 6:00-8:30pm, at the home of Margaret Sawyer, 440 Woodcreek Ct. If you plan to attend, please RSVP to Sarah Bryant, Jami Hamrick, or Ginger McCall by Sunday, June 2.

 

Service Opportunity – GCOC and the Christian Service Center are sponsoring the Community Mobile Food Pantry on Friday, June 28, from 8:00-10:30am at First United Methodist Church on FM 51 N.  Volunteers are needed to staff this effort. If you can help, sign up in Bible class or contact Jonna Eccles (817-573-0316 or ).

 

Youth Service Projects – Contact Scotty Weaver ( or 817-573-2613) if you need help with a project at your home.

Game Day – Each Thursday beginning at noon in the Parlor. Bring a sack lunch and your favorite game and join us for a fun afternoon.
