Motherly Love

motherly love

 

It all began more than twenty years ago as a group of ladies at the Granbury Church of Christ looked for a practical way to live out the instruction given by the apostle Paul in Titus 2 for older women to train the younger women. Thus, a new program called Motherly Love was born and has continued every year since.

This special ministry provides child-free evenings out during the summer for our young mothers – evenings filled with good food, conversation, laughter, speakers, and prayer – a time of love and encouragement especially designed for these young women of God. In the past, Motherly Love has focused on the mothers of preschoolers, but this year the program has been expanded to include those with children through the fifth grade. This season’s first session will take place this week.

 

Motherly Love is funded exclusively by donations from individuals in the congregation.  If you would like to help with this ministry, you can give your donation to Margaret Sawyer or drop it by the church office.
