Harvest Sunday

Last Sunday, on behalf of the GCOC Missions Committee, John Knox announced the fundraising goal of $200,000 for the Harvest Sunday contribution on November 8 to fund our foreign mission work in 2016. A brochure with a description of each mission effort GCOC supports was also distributed (now available in the bins in the hallway around the Worship Center).

 

This year’s theme is Extending the Kingdom, one of the components of GCOC’s mission statement of Following Christ to the Glory of God. This theme is intentionally connected to the Living Our Mission devotional readings this quarter, with the focus of October’s readings being Supporting Our Missionaries. Prayerfully consider what you will give or pledge on Harvest Sunday to provide for our mission partners around the world.
