Everyone is invited! 5th Sunday Singing and Prayer – September 29 at 5:00pm in the Worship Center. This time of devotion is designed to bring together Christians of all ages to praise and petition our Lord. Please join us for this special time of worship!

 

Piecemakers Quilting Bee – Monday, September 30, 10:00am to 2:00pm in Room 8 at the church building. We work as a group making quilts for various needs. If you would like to join us, just come to the Bee, and we’ll put you to work! For more information, contact Betty Curbo (817-573-7535) or Jamie Skelton (817-279-3724).

 

Ladies' Bible Class will take a field trip to Foster's Home Wednesday, October 2. The group will leave from the church at 9:00am and arrive back at the church about 1:30pm. Lunch will be provided.

 

Wednesday Night Diner – 5:00-6:15pm, in the Fellowship Center. This week’s menu includes Grumps Burger, Chips, Salad Bar, Cookie and Drink for $5. Chicken nuggets are also available for $1.

 

First Sunday Welcome Lunch – The Elders and the Path-Finders, Climbers, and Faith-Builders classes invite guests and new members who have placed membership since October 2018 to be their guests for lunch in the Dining Hall of the Fellowship Center on Sunday, October 6, right after the 10:15 worship service.

 

Foster’s Home Workday – Tuesday, October 8 – Meet at the church building at 8:15am, travel to Foster’s Home and work for the houseparents cooking, etc. Bring a sack lunch. The van will return around 2:30pm. If you plan to go help this month, call Barbara Tennison (254-744-4919) or Ruthie Hudson (817-326-3189).

 

Save the Dates! Ray Vander Laan is returning to Texas this fall!

You’re invited! Several churches in the area have special events coming up this fall. Check out the flyers on the bulletin boards around the building for more information.

 

Everyone is invited! On your way to the Granbury Pirate home football games this season, stop by the GCOC parking lot from 4:00-6:30pm for a hamburger or hotdog at our tailgate party, hosted by the GCOC Youth Group.

Game Day – Each Thursday beginning at noon in the Parlor. Bring a sack lunch and your favorite game and join us for a fun afternoon.

 

Connections Group

Fifth Sunday Group will meet Sunday, September 29, at 6:00pm at the home of Yvonne Rosenquist. Everyone is invited to attend. Bring finger foods and come to meet, greet and fellowship!

 

Children’s Ministry

Christmas Musical Meeting – If your child is in grades K-5 and would like to participate in this year’s Christmas musical program, there will be a brief parent meeting in the Parlor on Sunday, September 29, at 9:50 (right between class and service).  We will discuss the rehearsal schedule and hand out scripts and CDs.
