Baby Shower

For Caitlyn Ammons – Sunday, November 12, 2:00-4:00pm at the home of Ginger McCall, 3605 Big Timber Ln. Consumables and gift cards are appreciated.

 

Announcements    

Wednesday Night Diner – 5:00-6:15pm, in the Fellowship Center. This week’s menu includes C & J’s Brisket Sandwich, Soup, Salad Bar, Chips, Cookie and Drink for $5. Chicken nuggets are available for children for $1. Proceeds go toward scholarships for youth group activities.

 

Carter BloodCare will be receiving donors in the Fellowship Center on Sunday, November 12, from 9:00am – noon.

 

Foster’s Home Workday – Tuesday, November 14 – Meet at the church building at 8:15am, travel to Foster’s Home and work for the houseparents cooking, etc. The group will eat out for lunch, then return around 2:30pm. If you plan to go and help this month, please call Glenda Fry at 817-573-3244.

 

Area-Wide Thanksgiving Service – Tuesday, November 21, at Southside Church of Christ in Mineral Wells. Singing will begin at 6:30pm, followed by the service at 7:00pm with guest speaker William Eudy of Shallowater, TX. Light refreshments will be served during the fellowship time afterward.

 

Save the Date! Annual Ladies’ Christmas party on Thursday, December 14. More details to come.

 

Free Service Provided – Rachel Rouse is offering free counseling services as a part of her licensing program. If you know someone who could benefit from counseling, contact Rachel at 806-438-8919.

 

Facility Security

Over the past several months, we have been in discussion with the Sheriff’s Department, Granbury Police Department, and a church security firm on how to provide a safe worship environment. Many of their ideas are now in place.

 

The main recommendation will require everyone’s cooperation and patience. Beginning Sunday November 12, all exterior doors will be locked at the beginning of the worship service, except for the main entrance facing Pearl St. You will still be able to exit from every door.

 

We recognize this may be an inconvenience, and we apologize. Your safety is our utmost concern.

Game and Potluck Day – Each Thursday beginning at noon in the Parlor. Bring a sack lunch and your favorite game and join us for a fun afternoon.
