Wednesday Class Location Change – Due to renovation in the Worship Center, the Wednesday night class entitled, Islam: The Quran and Christianity, led by Billy Martin, will move to the Fellowship Center for the last two weeks of class – May 25 and June 1. To facilitate discussion, participants are asked to sit in the front center section.

 

Service Opportunity – With the recent rains, Foster’s Home could use a few volunteers to help clean up the grounds by mowing, trimming, and spraying weeds. The home will provide riding mowers, trimmers, and weed spray. If you can help, contact Tammy Asbill at 903-521-6371.

 

60th Anniversary – A casual Come and Go Celebration, honoring Don and Sue Conder at 6011 77th St., Lubbock, TX 79424. Save the date, Saturday, June 25 from 2:00pm-4:00pm. No gifts please; guest book and basket will be available. Cards are welcome.  Please address cards to Don and Sue Conder at the above address if you are unable to attend.

 

Piecemakers Quilting Bee – May 31, from 4:00pm-8:00pm, at the Christian Service Center. Bring your own supper. Experience is not necessary. Time is spent working together piecing quilts to be donated. If you have questions, contact Betty Curbo, Becky Roberts or Jamie Skelton.

 

Connections Groups

The Sawyer Group will meet Sunday, May 22, at 6:00pm at the Sawyer home for a potluck dinner. Everyone is invited to attend.

 

Motherly Love

Mothers of infants through 5th graders – Join us for our first session of Motherly Love on Thursday, June 23, from 6:00-8:30pm, at the home of Yvonne Rosenquist, 6415 Buena Vista Dr.  If you plan to attend, please RSVP to Ginger McCall or Heather Blevins by Sunday, June 19.

 

Children’s Ministry

The Children’s Ministry is hosting an End of School Year Swim Party for all children entering Kindergarten in the fall through 5th grade. It will be Friday, May 27, 2016 from 12:00-3:00pm at the home of Mike and Susan Blevins, 601 E Woodcreek Court. Lunch will be provided. For questions, please call or email Tyler Wiggains.
