All newcomer ladies who have placed membership in the past twelve months are invited to a get-acquainted dinner on Thursday, October 27, at 6:30pm at the clubhouse in Waterview, hosted by Jo Lynn Bullock.  The newcomer committee will provide the food, and our new ladies will be our guests. Please come for a fun evening of food and visiting. All ladies invited.

 

First Sunday Welcome Lunch – The Ambassadors/Journey and Victory classes invite visitors and new members who have placed membership since November 2015 to be their guests for lunch in the Dining Hall of the Fellowship Center on Sunday, November 6, immediately following the 10:45 worship service.

Larry’s Diner -Wednesday, October 26, 5:00-6:15pm, in the Fellowship Center. The White Plate Special includes King Ranch Casserole, Corn, Salad, Rolls, Dessert and Drink for $5. Kid-friendly menu is also available for $1 per item.

 

Piecemakers Quilting Bee - Just a reminder that next Tuesday, October 25, will be the last Tuesday of the month and our Quilt Bee.  Meet at the CSC from 4:00pm-8:00pm to fellowship with your fellow quilters as we prepare quilts for donations.  Bring your own dinner; we break at 6:00pm for dinner.

 

Disaster Relief – If you would like to help victims of Hurricane Matthew, you can give directly to Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort online at www.disasterreliefeffort.org or give a check to the church office made payable to “Granbury Church of Christ” with “disaster relief” written on the memo line.

 

Christian Service Center - There will be a food truck to unload on Monday, October 24, if you are available to help. The truck usually arrives around 10:00am.

 

You’re invited! This year a new feature has been added to the events leading up to Harvest Sunday. The missions committee will host a church-wide Harvest Missions dinner on Saturday, November 12, at 6:00pm in the Fellowship Center to demonstrate their appreciation to those who have contributed to missions this year and to motivate giving for our mission efforts in 2017. Several of our missionaries will be present, and you’ll have an opportunity to interact with them. The dinner is free of charge; however, reservations are required for food preparation. If you plan to attend, please RSVP to Jan in the church office (817-573-2613 or ) by Friday, November 4.

 

Connections Groups

The Sawyer Group will meet on Sunday at 6:00pm at the Sawyer home for a potluck dinner. Everyone is invited to attend.

 

The Rosenquist Group will meet Sunday, October 30, at 6:00pm at the home of Yvonne Rosenquist.  Everyone is invited to attend. Bring finger foods and come to meet, greet and fellowship! We will have a surprise guest speaker.
