Camryn Deason, daughter of Bret and Tracy Deason, was baptized into Christ last Sunday morning.

Announcements    

Service Opportunity – This Tuesday, August 8, come join us at the Christian Service Center at 8:30am for coffee and donuts, then stay and help unload the food truck from the Tarrant County Food Bank.

 

Carter BloodCare will be receiving donors in the Fellowship Center on Sunday, August 13, from 9:00am – noon.

 

Ladies’ Newcomer Dinner – Thursday, August 24, at 6:30pm at the home of Nelda Coonrod, 6117 Laredo Ct. The dinner is for all ladies who have been GCOC members for one year or less. Members who would like to get better acquainted with our newcomers are welcome to come and bring food to share, along with our committee members. Join us for a wonderful time of visiting and getting to know our new sisters!

 

Magi Project – We have an opportunity again this year to participate in the Magi Project, sponsored by Healing Hands International, to pack gift boxes for children in Africa for Christmas.  Now is a good time to begin purchasing gift items for the boxes, especially school supplies such as pencils, pens, crayons, etc.  More details to come.

 

Free Service Provided – John Knox and Rachel Rouse are offering free counseling services as a part of their degree and licensing programs. If you know someone who could benefit from counseling, contact John at  or the church office (817-573-2613), or Rachel at 806-438-8919.

 

Motherly Love

Mothers of infants through 5th graders – Join us for our last session of Motherly Love on Sunday, August 6, from 5:00-7:30pm, at the home of Kitty Wasemiller, 6408 Inverness Rd.  If you plan to attend, please RSVP to Gayla Castle.
