First Sunday Welcome Lunch – The Ambassadors/Journey and Victory classes invite visitors and new members who have placed membership since November 2015 to be their guests for lunch in the Dining Hall of the Fellowship Center on Sunday, November 6, immediately following the 10:15 am worship service.
Poinsettias for the Worship Center - The Hood County Retired School Personnel Association, as a fundraiser for student scholarships, is again selling poinsettias to decorate the Worship Center for the holiday session. This year the poinsettias are $10 a plant. You are welcome to take home your plant at the end of the service. Please donate to this worthy cause by giving cash or check made out to the association to John or Janna Duty before the deadline to order, November 14.
Carter BloodCare will be receiving donors in the Fellowship Center on Sunday, November 13, from 9:00am – noon.
Free Service Provided – John Knox is completing a degree in mental health counseling from Lubbock Christian University. This semester he is offering free counseling services as a part of his practicum. If you know an adult or adolescent who could benefit from counseling, contact John at or the church office (817-573-2613). Due to the response to this ad, Rachel Rouse has offered her services as she works on her license. She is currently working at the Christian Service Center. Larry’s Diner -Wednesday, November 2, 5:00-6:15pm, in the Fellowship Center. The White Plate Special includes Stroganoff, California Vegetables, Rolls, Dessert and Drink for $5. Kid-friendly menu is also available for $1 per item. All profits go toward scholarships to help GCOC youth attend camps and retreats.

The Rosenquist Group will meet tonight, at 6:00pm at the home of Yvonne Rosenquist. Everyone is invited to attend. Bring finger foods and come to meet, greet and fellowship!
