Piercing the Darkness

Did you know that even with all of the advances in technology today, 2/3 of the world’s population still doesn’t have internet access? That means that while great strides have been made in sharing the good news of Jesus online with people around the world, there are still almost 5 billion people that must be reached for Christ by some other means.

 

World Christian Broadcasting is addressing this need to pierce the darkness of this world by sharing the gospel worldwide through shortwave radio, with a potential audience of 3 billion people at any hour of the day. Through two powerful shortwave stations – one in Alaska and the other in Madagascar – WCB broadcasts gospel programming in 6 languages to the entire world. Hostile governments that are determined to close off their countries and their people to all outside influences are unable to stop the message of Jesus from entering their nations through shortwave radio.

 

Andy Baker, who serves as vice-president of development at WCB, will be our guest speaker this morning and will share further details about this life-changing ministry and the opportunities that are available to partner with WCB in sharing Christ around the world.
