Missions: Special Projects and Funds

For the past several weeks in leading up to today’s Harvest Sunday missions contribution, we have highlighted GCOC’s mission partners around the world through written articles, visual media, and personal visits. Another budget area that has not been mentioned yet is called Special Projects and Funds. This category represents about one third of the missions budget and includes funding for several mission projects that are more temporary in nature, such as building construction and repair, training internships, and relief efforts. Funds are also set aside to assist with unforeseen emergencies, as well as the travel needs of our missionaries and of GCOC members who participate in short-term missions like the upcoming medical mission trip to Chihuahua, Mexico. For a complete listing of the special projects and funds, pick up one of the missions brochures available in the hallway bins surrounding the Worship Center.
