You’re invited to a Spring Concert presented by the Paluxy River Community Band (which includes several GCOC members) on Tuesday, May 2, at 7:00pm at Brazos Covenant Ministries (1950 Acton Hwy – old Hwy 4 past Big Lots). Admission is free, but donations are accepted.
Wednesday Ladies’ Class – Final class and luncheon this Wednesday, May 3, at the home of Janna Duty.
Larry’s Diner – Wednesday, May 3, 5:00–6:15pm, in the Fellowship Center. The White Plate Special includes Mexican Lasagna, Beans, Rice, Salad Bar, Dessert and Drink for $5. Kid-friendly menu is also available for $1 per item.
National Day of Prayer – Thursday, May 4, at the Granbury Resort & Conference Center. The theme this year is For Your Great Name’s Sake. The Breakfast will begin with food service at 6:00am, followed by the program from 6:30–7:30am. No reservations are required, and there is no charge for the breakfast.
Senior Banquet – Saturday, May 6, 6:00pm–8:00pm, in the Fellowship Center. Come enjoy this night as we honor the Class of 2017 (Bronson Berryman, Colton Bird, Blake Brown, Bailey Carey, Gavin Clarkson, Remington Davis, Bailey Hubble, and Matt Majer).
First Sunday Welcome Lunch – The Challengers and Seekers classes invite visitors and new members who have placed membership since May 2016 to be their guests for lunch in the Dining Hall of the Fellowship Center on Sunday, May 7, immediately following the 10:15 worship service.
Motherly Love – Ladies, please volunteer to help with an evening out this summer for our mothers of infants through 5th graders by filling out the volunteer form you received in the mail recently. Please turn in your completed form at one of the information tables or the church office by May 8.
Save the Date! Attention Widows and Widowers: Saturday, May 20, will be the annual luncheon hosted by the Victory class in your honor. Check-in will be at 11:30am, with lunch served at noon, followed by a time of entertainment. More details to come.
Summer Break! The Tuesday lunch served to the Hood County First Responders each week will be suspended for the summer, beginning in June, and will resume in the fall.
Free Service Provided – John Knox and Rachel Rouse are offering free counseling services as a part of their degree and licensing programs. If you know someone who could benefit from counseling, contact John at or the church office (817-573-2613), or Rachel at 806-438-8919.

The Sawyer Group will meet this Sunday, April 30, at 6:00pm at the Sawyer home for a potluck dinner. Everyone is invited to attend.
