Royal Family Kids' Camp

What happens when you connect abused and neglected children with loving, compassionate Christians?  It’s called Royal Family Kids’ Camp!  This week marks the 17th year that GCOC members have been involved in providing this special weeklong camp for children ages 7-11 who have been abandoned or removed from their homes by Child Protective Services and placed in foster care or a children’s home.

 

Several years ago, a foster parent shared with me how much RFKC has meant to his foster children.  He said the camp is the highlight of their year, and it’s the first thing these children talk about with the new foster kids that come into their home.  Seeds of hope are planted in the hearts of these children as they learn of God’s love for them – sometimes for the very first time – during their time at camp.

 

Please pray for all those who will be serving as counselors, program leaders, and support staff at RFKC this week.  And pray especially for the children, that God will touch their hearts and lives for eternity.
