Congratulations

To Mark and Ali Kaiser on the birth of their son, Liam. Proud grandparents are Antenor and Phyllis Goncalves. Both families serve as our mission partners in Brazil.

 

Farewell / Baby Shower

Announcements    

Wednesday Night Brown Bag – 5:00-6:15pm, in the Fellowship Center. Bring your own meal; the church will provide free drinks and ice cream. The Uplift service will follow at 6:30 in the Worship Center.

 

Piecemakers Quilting Bee – Monday, June 25, 10:00am to 2:00pm in Room 8 at the church building. We work as a group making quilts for each baby born into the congregation and for each graduating senior at Foster’s Home in Stephenville. If you would like to join us, just come to the Bee, and we’ll put you to work! For more information, contact Betty Curbo (817-573-7535) or Jamie Skelton (817-279-3724).

 

Service Opportunity – GCOC and the Christian Service Center are sponsoring the Community Mobile Food Pantry on Friday, June 29, from 8:00am – 10:30am at First United Methodist Church on FM 51 N. Volunteers are needed to staff this effort. If you can help, sign up in Bible class or contact James Parker () or Jonna Eccles ().

 

Dudes Night on the Lake – Men are invited to the Dutys’ lake house for a night of water fun on Friday, June 29, from 5:00 – 10:00pm.  By land, it’s 912 Waterpoint Court E in Waterview.  By water, it’s 2 houses west of the Mesquite Pit.  Dinner will be served at 7:00pm.  Call Tina at 817-573-2613 to let us know you’re coming, and we’ll give you the secret gate code.  B.Y.O.Boat, if you have one.  Come wake the lake!

 

You’re invited to the First Annual Area-Wide Song Fest, Saturday, June 30, 2:00-4:00pm, at the Southside Church of Christ in Mineral Wells. For more information, see the flyers posted around the building.

 

The new 5th & 6th grade class is in need of gently-used bean bag chairs and other teen-friendly, soft furniture. Contact Susie Wright at 254-485-1630 if you can help with this need.
