Classroom Changes – Due to space issues, three of our Sunday morning classes will be relocated, beginning this Sunday, October 28.
• The Seekers class will move to Room 10.
• The United in Christ class will move to Room 16.
• The Bridge-Builders class will move to Room 8.
Foster’s Trunk or Treat – Sponsored by GCOC at Foster’s Home for Children in Stephenville on Sunday, October 28, 4:00-6:00pm. Candy donations are needed (put in tubs located around the building). Volunteers are also needed to go and decorate their car trunks for candy distribution.
Piecemakers Quilting Bee – Monday, October 29, 10:00am to 2:00pm in Room 10 at the church building. We work as a group making quilts for each baby born into the congregation and for each graduating senior at Foster’s Home in Stephenville. Wednesday Night Diner – 5:00-6:15pm, in the Fellowship Center. This week’s menu includes Tamales (pork, chicken, or brisket), Chips, Salsa, Soup, Salad Bar, Cookie and Drink for $5. Kid-friendly menu is also available for $1 per item. Proceeds go toward scholarships for youth group activities.
Ray Vander Laan Seminar – February 15-17, 2019 at the Granbury Church of Christ. Registration for GCOC members is now open on the church website (www.granburycoc.net). Cost is $20 per person. Registration will be advertised to the public beginning November 1, so reserve your seat now!
First Sunday Welcome Lunch – The Path-Finders & Seekers classes invite guests and new members who have placed membership since November 2017 to be their guests for lunch in the Dining Hall of the Fellowship Center on Sunday, November 4, immediately following the 10:15 worship service.
You’re invited! The missions committee will host a church-wide Harvest Missions dinner on Saturday, November 10, at 6:00pm in the Fellowship Center in appreciation of those who have contributed to missions this year and to motivate giving for our mission efforts in 2019. The dinner is free of charge; however, reservations are required for food preparation. If you plan to attend, please RSVP to the church office by Monday, November 5.
Foster’s Home Workday – Tuesday, November 13 – Meet at the church building at 8:15am, travel to Foster’s Home and work for the houseparents cooking, etc. Bring a sack lunch. The van will return around 2:30pm. If you plan to go help this month, call Glenda Fry at 817-573-3244.
