Congratulations

To Marlita Windham who has been hired as our new Children’s Ministry Coordinator. As announced last Sunday, she will serve in this role on a part-time basis. We welcome Marlita as a part of the church staff team.

 

Baby Shower

For Leah Ruffin, daughter of Adam and Jenifer Ruffin, on Sunday, April 8, 3:00-5:00pm at Celebration Hall (on the Granbury Square). This is a family-friendly event hosted by Cleta Parks, Julie Hale, and others. Please RSVP by calling or texting 817-715-9378. They are registered at Amazon, Walmart, and Babies R Us.

 

For Mark and Ali Kaiser (our missionaries in Brazil) on Sunday, May 6, 2:00-3:30pm in the Parlor. Mark and Ali will join us via Skype. Please give gifts of money only (checks payable to the Granbury Church of Christ). One check from the church will be sent to them after all funds have been collected.

 

Announcements    

Wednesday Night Diner – 5:00-6:15pm, in the Fellowship Center. This week’s menu includes Chick Fil A Sandwich, Chips, Salad Bar, Cookie and Drink for $5. Kid-friendly menu is also available for $1 per item. Proceeds go toward scholarships for youth group activities.

 

You’re invited to several upcoming events being held at area churches. For details, see the flyers on the bulletin boards throughout the building.

 

Sunday Welcome Lunch – The Victory class and the Elders and Deacons invite guests and new members who have placed membership since April 2017 to be their guests for lunch in the Dining Hall of the Fellowship Center on Sunday, April 8, immediately following the 10:15 worship service.

 

Foster’s Home Workday – Tuesday, April 10 – Meet at the church building at 8:15am, travel to Foster’s Home and work for the houseparents cooking, etc. Bring a sack lunch. The van will return around 2:30pm. If you plan to go help this month, please call Glenda Fry at 817-573-3244.

 

Ladies’ Newcomer Dinner – Tuesday, April 10, at 6:30pm at the home of Marsha Gilbert, 1540 Boyd Rd. The dinner is for all ladies who have placed membership in the last year. Committee members will furnish the food. Come enjoy an evening of visiting and getting to know one another!

 

Volunteer Needed! The funeral meal ministry is looking for someone to serve as the food coordinator. Duties would include maintaining the list of volunteers who provide food for funeral meals and contacting those volunteers when food is needed. Contact Beverly Sargent for more information or to volunteer for this role.

 

Save the Date! Keith Lancaster will be conducting a Praise and Harmony Workshop April 14-15 at the Brown St. Church of Christ in Waxahachie. For more information, call 972-937-8855.

Game and Potluck Day – Each Thursday beginning at noon in the Parlor. Bring a sack lunch and your favorite game and join us for a fun afternoon.
