Wedding Shower

For Shelley Mackey and Eric Daigle – Sunday, October 29, 2:00-3:30pm in the Parlor. They are registered at Walmart.

Magi Project – Thank you to everyone who filled and returned gift boxes for children in Africa this Christmas. We received a total of 113 boxes this year! They will be shipped next week, so this Sunday, October 15, is the last opportunity to return any remaining boxes.

 

Wednesday Night Diner – 5:00-6:15pm, in the Fellowship Center. This week’s menu includes Firehouse Subs (choice of ham, turkey or roast beef), Salad Bar, Cookie and Drink for $5. Kid-friendly menu is also available for $1 per item. Proceeds go toward scholarships for youth group activities.

 

Ladies’ Newcomer Dinner – Thursday, October 19, at 6:30pm at the home of Debbie Lee, 7412 Ravenswood Rd. (please carpool as you can and pull all the way through the circle drive). The dinner is for all ladies who have been members for one year or less. Committee members will provide finger foods to share. Come enjoy an evening of visiting and getting to know one another!

 

GCOC Ladies’ Day – Saturday, October 28, 10:00am – 2:00pm at Granbury Church of Christ. Emily Lemley of Lubbock, TX will speak on the topic of “Think on These Things.” No charge for the event – Lunch is included. Please RSVP to the church office by October 20 if you plan to attend.

 

Foster’s Fall Festival – GCOC and Kids’ Armor of Hope are co-sponsoring this event for Foster’s Home for Children in Stephenville on Sunday evening, October 29. Candy donations are needed (put them in the tubs located around the Worship Center). If you would like to go and help, please contact the church office.

 

Free Service Provided – John Knox and Rachel Rouse are offering free counseling services as a part of their degree and licensing programs. If you know someone who could benefit from counseling, contact John at  or the church office (817-573-2613), or Rachel at 806-438-8919.

Game and Potluck Day – Each Thursday beginning at noon in the Parlor. Bring a sack lunch and your favorite game and join us for a fun afternoon.
