Church office & CSC closed Monday, September 4, for the Labor Day holiday.

 

Ladies’ Bible Class – Wednesdays beginning September 6, 9:30-11:00am in Room 5 (Encouragers classroom – enter through the door under the portico on the west side of the building). The study will be a book by Ann Spangler and Lois Tverberg entitled, Sitting at the Feet of Rabbi Jesus. All ladies are invited to attend.

 

Wednesday Night Diner – Begins this Wednesday, September 6, 5:00-6:15pm, in the Fellowship Center. The menu includes Chick Fil A Sandwich, Chips, Salad Bar, Cookie and Drink for $5. Kid-friendly menu is also available for $1 per item. Proceeds go toward scholarships for youth group activities.

 

Foster’s Home Children’s Day – Saturday, September 9. The campus will be open for tours at 11:00am, with a barbecue lunch served at noon. Come and see how God is changing lives at Foster’s Home!

 

You’re invited to Relationships Matter, a free conference providing a practical and spiritual guide for relationships with Jerry and Lynn Jones, September 10-13 at Burleson Church of Christ. First Responders’ Lunch – The weekly Tuesday lunch for Hood County first responders will start again on September 12. Everyone is welcome to help cook and serve. To volunteer, please contact Linda Guy at 817-776-1328 or Jonna Eccles at 817-573-0316.

 

Disaster Relief – To help victims of Hurricane Harvey, you can give directly to Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort online at www.disasterreliefeffort.org, give online at www.granburycoc.net, or give a check to the church office made payable to “Granbury Church of Christ” with “disaster relief” written on the memo line.

 

Magi Project – We have an opportunity again this year to participate in the Magi Project, sponsored by Healing Hands International, to pack gift boxes for children in Africa for Christmas.  Now is a good time to begin purchasing gift items for the boxes, especially school supplies such as pencils, pens, crayons, etc.  More details to come.

 

Free Service Provided – John Knox and Rachel Rouse are offering free counseling services as a part of their degree and licensing programs. If you know someone who could benefit from counseling, contact John at  or the church office (817-573-2613), or Rachel at 806-438-8919.

Game and Potluck Day – Each Thursday beginning at noon in the Parlor. Bring a sack lunch and your favorite game and join us for a fun afternoon.

 

Children’s Ministry

LTC Meeting – Sunday, September 10, at 11:30am in Room 5 (Encouragers classroom). This meeting is for all families (new and returning) with 3rd – 12th grade students who are interested in participating in Leadership Training for Christ.
