Church office and Christian Service Center will be closed Monday, September 3, for the Labor Day holiday.
Wednesday Morning Ladies’ Bible Class will begin September 5, 9:30-11:00am, in Room 5 (Encouragers classroom). Nancy Peterson will lead a study of women in the Bible using a book by Liz Curtis Higgs titled, Bad Girls of the Bible (no need to purchase the book). We hope you will join us!
Wednesday Night Diner reopens this week – 5:00-6:15pm, in the Fellowship Center. This week’s menu includes Chick Fil A Sandwich, Wrap, or Nuggets, Chips, Soup, Salad Bar, Cookie and Drink for $5. Kid-friendly menu is also available for $1. Proceeds go toward scholarships for youth group activities.
Help Needed! Foster’s Home is planning a work day on Friday, September 7, to clean up the grounds in preparation for their Children’s Day the next day. The work includes mowing, trimming, picking up debris, etc. If you can help, please contact John Webb at 817-578-3810.
Foster’s Home Children’s Day – Saturday, September 8. The campus will be open for tours at 11:00am. Other activities include a Splash Pad celebration and barbecue lunch. Come and see how God is changing lives at Foster’s Home!
Foster’s Home Workday – Tuesday, September 11 – Meet at the church building at 8:15am, travel to Foster’s Home and work for the houseparents cooking, etc. Bring a sack lunch. The van will return around 2:30pm. If you plan to go help this month, call Glenda Fry at 817-573-3244.
Ladies are invited to Woman2Woman on Saturday, October 6, 9:00am – 2:00pm at Lewisville Church of Christ. Cynthia Guy will speak on “Life is Like a Box of Chocolates.” The event is free of charge and includes continental breakfast (at 8:00am) and lunch. Childcare is available for infants – kindergarten. Please register at w2wconvention.com by September 22 if you plan to attend.
Service Opportunity – Volunteers are needed to run booths and game stations at Granbury’s first community-wide Fall Festival on Saturday, October 13. If you would like to help, please contact Scotty Weaver.

Volunteers Needed – The Nursing Home ministry is in need of volunteers who can help serve communion to residents of local nursing and assisted living facilities on Sundays.
