First Sunday Welcome Lunch – The Journey/Ambassadors and Victory classes invite visitors and new members who have placed membership since November 2015 to be their guests for lunch in the Dining Hall of the Fellowship Centeron Sunday, November 6, immediately following the worship service.
Harvest Missions Dinner – Saturday, November 12, at 6:00pm in the Fellowship Center. The dinner is free of charge; however, reservations are required for food preparation. The deadline has been extended to noon tomorrow, so if you plan to attend, please RSVP to Jan in the church office by then (817-573-2613 or ).
Special Invitation – Sheriff Roger Deeds is taking the First Responder Lunch volunteers on a tour of the Sheriff’s Office, Emergency Operations Center, and Hood County Jail this Tuesday, November 8, at 1:00pm. If you plan to go, meet at the Christian Service Center shortly before 1:00pm.
Carter Bloodcare will be receiving donors in the Fellowship Center next Sunday, November 13, from 9:00am – noon.
Poinsettias for the Worship Center - Donate to the Hood County Retired School Personnel Association Scholarship Fund by purchasing poinsettias to decorate the Worship Center for the holiday season. The poinsettias are $10 each. Please give your donation to John or Janna Duty by next Sunday, November 13.
Free Service Provided - John Knox and Rachel Rouse are offering free counseling services as a part of their degree and licensing programs. If you know some one who could benefit from counseling, contact John at or the church office 817-573-2613, or Rachel at 806-438-8919.
Larry’s Diner – Wednesday, November 9, 5:00-6:15pm, in the Fellowship Center. The White Plate Special includes Salisbury Steak, Mashed Potatoes, Mixed Vegetables, Rolls, Dessert and Drink for $5. Kid-friendly menu is also available for $1 per item. All profits go toward scholarships to help GCOC youth attend camps and retreats.
You are invited to participate with other churches in a countywide prayer event entitled One Nation Under God Sunday, November 6, at 6:00pm at Shanley Park. The 5:00pm service at GCOC will take place as scheduled.
Community Thanksgiving Service – Sunday, November 20, at 6:00pm at the Generations Church of Granbury (5718 E Hwy 377). This Christian community event is being hosted by the Ministerial Alliance. There will be no service at GCOC that evening.
