Announcements    

Foster’s Fall Festival – GCOC and Kids’ Armor of Hope are co-sponsoring this event for Foster’s Home for Children in Stephenville on Sunday, October 29, from 4:00-6:00pm. Candy donations are needed (put them in the tub located in the front foyer). Your presence would be a great encouragement to the children and staff.

 

Wednesday Night Diner – 5:00-6:15pm, in the Fellowship Center. This week’s menu includes Cowboy Stew, Cornbread, Firehouse Subs, Salad Bar, Cookie and Drink for $5. Chicken nuggets are available for children for $1. Proceeds go toward scholarships for youth group activities.

 

First Sunday Welcome Lunch – The Path-Finders & Seekers classes invite guests and new members who have placed membership since November 2016 to be their guests for lunch in the Dining Hall of the Fellowship Center on Sunday, November 5, immediately following the 10:15 worship service.

 

Stronger Marriages Workshop with Trey & Lea Morgan on Saturday, November 11, 8:30am – 3:00pm at Hico Church of Christ. Please RSVP to if you plan to attend.

 

Carter BloodCare will be receiving donors in the Fellowship Center on Sunday, November 12, from 9:00am – noon.

 

Area-Wide Thanksgiving Service – Tuesday, November 21, at Southside Church of Christ in Mineral Wells. Singing will begin at 6:30pm, followed by the service at 7:00pm with guest speaker William Eudy of Shallowater, TX. Light refreshments will be served during the fellowship time afterward.

 

Save the Date! Annual Ladies’ Christmas party on Thursday, December 14. More details to come.

 

Free Service Provided – John Knox and Rachel Rouse are offering free counseling services as a part of their degree and licensing programs. If you know someone who could benefit from counseling, contact John at  or the church office (817-573-2613), or Rachel at 806-438-8919.

Game and Potluck Day – Each Thursday beginning at noon in the Parlor. Bring a sack lunch and your favorite game and join us for a fun afternoon.

 

Connections Groups

The Sawyer Group will meet Sunday, October 29, at 6:00pm at the Sawyer home for a potluck dinner. Everyone is invited to attend. Bring a friend.
