RFKC: Making a Difference

The children wake up on this particular Monday morning with a variety of emotions. Some are angry, feeling like they’re being “passed off” once again by the adults in charge of their lives. Others are fearful and anxious, not knowing what to expect at the new and unfamiliar place they’ll be during the next few days. Still   others are excited because they’ve experienced this before and know firsthand what a great time is ahead. Despite their diversity of feelings, these kids have something in common. They’re all going to Royal Family Kids’ Camp!

 

As these 60 children – who each have a history of being hurt, abused, and neglected – gather in the GCOC gym tomorrow morning, a small army of caring volunteers will be there to help calm their anger, ease their fears, and shower them with love. As the week progresses, they will learn of God’s love for them – in some cases for the very first time – in a fun, safe environment.

 

Ministering to the unique needs of so many children can be a daunting task. Please pray for God’s guidance in leading the volunteers this week as they strive to make a difference in the lives of these precious souls.
