Wednesday Night Brown Bag – 5:00-6:15pm, in the Fellowship Center. Bring your own meal; the church will provide free drinks and ice cream. The Uplift service will follow at 6:30 in the Worship Center.

 

First Responders Lunch – Don’t forget to sign up as a volunteer for this ministry! Information was sent out this past week by email and on the church website with a link to add your name and contact information to the volunteer list. Weekly lunches will begin September 4.

 

Ladies’ Newcomer Dinner – Monday, August 20, at 6:30pm at the home of Susan Blevins, 601 E Woodcreek Ct. The dinner is for all ladies who have become members in the last year and anyone else interested in joining the ministry. Committee members will furnish the food. (Menu will be build-your-own-salad. Greens will be furnished. Committee members are asked to bring an ingredient to go on salad such as chopped tomatoes, avocados, nuts, etc. Dessert will be ice cream sundaes.) Come enjoy an evening of visiting and getting to know one another!

 

Save the Date! Keith Lancaster of Acappella Ministries is coming back to GCOC to lead another Praise & Harmony Workshop on October 20-21. Mark your calendar to participate in this uplifting time of fellowship and worship to God!

Game and Potluck Day – Each Thursday beginning at noon in the Parlor. Bring a sack lunch and your favorite game and join us for a fun afternoon.

 

Children’s Ministry

School Supply Drive – Remember to bring your school supply donations by this Wednesday, August 8. Drop-off stations are in the gym and front foyer.

 

LTC 2019 – Students, sign up now to get a jump start on individual events like teaching challenge, service challenge, art projects, and more! Registration forms are available on the LTC bulletin board next to the restrooms on the east side of the building.
